As a Practice Manager in Data Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in growing Lagozon’s Data Engineering business by identifying and leveraging opportunities to enhance business outcomes through innovative data solutions. This role demands a strong technology leader with a deep understanding of data engineering technologies and practices, including hands-on experience with leading platforms like Databricks and Snowflake, and a solid grasp of the Azure Databricks platform for scalable data analytics solutions.
- At least 10 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 5 years in hands-on development of Data Warehouse and Data Lake solutions.
- Strong experience with data programming languages (e.g., Python, Scala) and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
- Essential experience in Azure and Databricks.
- Proven experience as a delivery lead in building data engineering capabilities and services.
- Certifications in Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, or related data engineering technologies will be an added advantage.
1. Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on implementation expertise with Databricks/ Snowflake Data Platforms to design and support scalable data analytics solutions.
2. Solution Architecture: Architect, design, and deliver data analytics solutions that align with business goals and are scalable, performance-oriented, and cost-effective.
3. Team Leadership: Build and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and adoption of best data engineering practices.
